Lucas 2015.12.14 07:08:02
And they devoted tveesmlhes to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (Acts 2:42)Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.(1 Timothy 4:13) For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. (1 Corinthians 1:21) preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. (2 Timothy 4:2) Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all of you, for I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God. (Acts 20:26-27)For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. (1 corinthians 11:26)Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. (James 5:16) I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise. (Hebrews 2:12 [Psalm 22:22]). Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. (Colossians 3:16)On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. (1 Corinthians 16:2).And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24-25). For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them. (Matthew 18:20)

I don't see there is any problem here

Dear Julian, it had been a very long time not talking to you, your good and criictal article deserves every politicians, church or non- church leaders, laymen, journalists and NGO peoples etc etc to read it. You have a very in-depth understandings and analysis of those very complicated power dynamics in the context of the faith seeking. Except Ho Pak Leung, I know the other two candidates personally and observed them with a more inside knowledge and life experiences, so happened, they are also CUHK alumni. From my humble knowledge and understanding, the " faith " being revealed by Rev. So as you mentioned with this particular case,to my judgement,is a distorted picture of Christian Faith, NOT the authentic one. No one in the world, that they can able to claim themselves as represent the true and unfailing picture of Christ's love, unconditional acceptances and hope. Continue your good writing and very thought provoking journey. Take care, Mau Chi wang繆熾宏 96441260, mauchiwang@netvigator.com

Well if we are talking about lost kids that don't have godly panerts... as a missionary (now SAHM and wife to a missionary) with Child Evangelism Fellowship I must say you (the church) must go to the kids. It's not good enough to teach sunday school classes of kids "About" Jesus. You MUST share the Gospel with them! Most of our churches teach Bible stories to children... which obviously I have no issues with... but I bet the reason these kids end up leaving is because they never became Christians! As someone who taught kids sunday school for a long time I can tell you most of the curriculum DOES NOT share the gospel... or it does once every 5 weeks or something like that. That isn't good enough! You can't expect kids to stay in church if they never accepted Christ as their personal Savior. For kids outside of the church? Go to where they are. Schools (yes you can do it, visit cefonline.com) community centers, parks, wherever kids are and tell them why Jesus came.Kids should know Bible Stories but if they don't know the Gospel then they can't be saved and won't stay in church.

To start the season off, I fnlliay decided to buy for my family and CCD class. Call me lazy because you could surely make these yourself, but I liked having them done for me instead of searching for the pieces for inside the eggs . Plus the resource book included came in useful. If you want an awesome resource to go along with the eggs, you need this book (Benjamin's Box). The story is great and matches the eggs perfectly. It is nicely illustrated and each page tells a story to match the item in the egg. The kids seem to enjoy the story and hearing it from the point of view of a little boy. I highly recommend getting this book to compliment the eggs. My kids ages 5 and 8 really enjoy this book. I am also sharing it with my third grade CCD class and they love it too. I hid the eggs around my house and told my kids to find them but not open them. Once we had all 12 eggs we took turns reading a page from the book and opening the egg that went along with the page. I used Benjamin's Box to help me create a printable to match the Resurrection Eggs activity. If you search Teaching Heart Mom on Google and then go to Easter you will see it. You can download it free here. It is five pages. The last page (foldable eggs) you will need to print three times on colored card stock. All other pages get printed once on regular paper. My kids enjoyed making the books and we will refer to them through the season.

Have your say
