- Hi Lisa, I am 63 and and sole carer for my 86 year old mother. My faehtr died at 92 last year. Learning Guitar is one of the few things I can do at home as I can't go out for very long as my mother is dependent of me. I have had many Guitar Teachers over 15 years(how time flies) and a few were good and most were so, so. I think you are a good teacher as you can change/explain whats difficult down to simple. You would be surprised how few Guitar Teachers can do this. Keep up the good work. I admire your talent.

- I have seen little girls out on the steret playing too, although I haven't seen any playing soccer. Attitudes toward women and girls are more conservative here, but it's not necessarily how we in the West perceive it, and it varies greatly from urban to rural, and country to country. I will address the issues of attitudes toward women and men, being a foreign woman here in Cairo and the dress code in future posts.The number of women far outnumber men in my classes however none of them live in Nasr City. I am pretty far out of the way. They are all very nice people, but they are foreigners like me. I have already befriended them. When I talk about figuring out how to interact with people, I mainly mean locals.
